Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Ruth!
Four years ago, I was on maternity leave, cradling my newborn daughter and quietly asking myself, *“Is this it?”* I had the credentials, the job title, and the career milestones—but I knew there was more in me than ticking boxes and doing what was expected.
In between baby cuddles and long, quiet afternoons, I began exploring the world of virtual assistance. What started as a curiosity quickly became a calling. I saw a powerful opportunity to redefine what meaningful support looks like—for both the people offering it and the leaders receiving it. By 2022, we had our first client, and Adept Aides was born.
Before that, I had spent over three years managing projects in the construction industry. It was a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where I learned how to manage details, juggle deadlines, and keep complex projects moving. Alongside that, I handled a wide range of administrative responsibilities—developing an eye for structure, order, and the kind of support that keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the power of good systems and even better support. It also laid the groundwork for everything we do today at Adept Aides.
I started Adept Aides to bring that kind of high-level, thoughtful support to leaders everywhere. Today, we’re a growing team of 5+ skilled assistants, strategists, and trainers helping entrepreneurs and executives stay focused, organized, and ahead of the curve. We don’t just check tasks off a list—we help you create space to think bigger and move with intention.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me resting (a luxury I’ve learned to value), reading a good business book, or diving into new ideas for how to make life and work a little simpler. Those quiet moments keep me grounded—and remind me why I do this in the first place.
